Setting Goals: Fall 2013

As summer wraps up (sad, I know) I can't help but think of some of the things I am hoping to accomplish over the next few months!  I am really looking forward to fall - the weather in New England, football and hockey, school starting, a few trips coming my way, and most of all the end of the year which is always a busy time for product managers planning for the year ahead.

This fall, I plan to accomplish a lot, so check out my list below (give me your feedback!) and let the games begin!

  • Attend two New England Patriots games
  • Complete the Tower of Terror 10 Miler at Walt Disney World in October
  • Attend the MassTLC Unconference on Innovation in Boston on November 1st
  • Release Beta Version of PawUp, the network for pet owners
  • Complete the 2014 Roadmap for PawUp and the company I am working for
  • Find one Product Management Conference to attend in the Winter (any recommendations?)
Some of this stuff is work, and some of it is play - but all of it centers around setting goals and getting excited about finishing the tasks you set out to achieve.  For me, there's no greater sense of accomplishment than setting out to do something and actually doing it!  Of course, there's always the risk of failure but sometimes that brings you to the most unexpected places!

Looking forward to Fall 2013!

***An update here: I'll also be completing the Salem Wicked Half Marathon on September 21st, and in terms of product management, I'm hoping to become a Director in the next 6-12 months.  Stay tuned!
